The 2027 Triumph Tracker 400 joins Triumph’s Modern Classics 400 family with gritty flat-tracker styling inspired by the British company’s AMA Grand National series racing history through the 1960s and early 1970s. The liquid-cooled 398cc DOHC single engine features a revised intake cam profile and new engine tune, delivering 5 percent more power than the Speed 400, peaking 1000 rpm higher and letting riders rev past 9000 rpm. It produces 28 lb-ft of torque from 3000 rpm to its peak at 7500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox, a slip-and-assist clutch, dual-channel Bosch ABS, and switchable traction control. Ergonomics include a ribbed solo seat, wide flat handlebar, and slightly higher and farther back footpegs compared to the Speed. Suspension consists of a Showa Big Piston fork with 5.5 inches of travel and a rear shock with 5.1 inches of travel featuring adjustable spring preload. The geometry includes a shorter wheelbase, steeper rake, and longer trail than the Speed and Thruxton 400 models. Braking relies on Bybre components, including a four-piston radially mounted caliper on a 300mm front disc, and the bike rides on block-pattern Pirelli MT 60 RS tires. The 381-pound motorcycle features a 3.4-gallon tank and a claimed 65 MPG, targeting around 200 miles of range.
