Lada unleashes $19,800 Iskra SW wagon with a six-speed manual and 105 HP engine

Lada has added a six-speed manual transmission to the Iskra SW wagon lineup, pairing it with the range-topping 1.6-liter engine that produces 105 HP (78 kW / 106 PS).

The new Iskra SW Drive trim replaces the outgoing CVT with a three-pedal setup, promising better performance under heavy loads.

The manual-equipped wagon accelerates from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 12.7 seconds and tops out at 174 km/h (108 mph), beating the CVT version by 1.2 seconds and 8 km/h (5 mph). Fuel economy for the three-pedal model is rated at 7.8 lt/100km (30.1 MPG).

The Iskra SW Drive starts at 1,565,000 rubles, which converts to roughly $19,800 at current exchange rates.

This undercuts the CVT version’s price of 1,677,000 rubles ($21,200) and sits just $500 above the base Iskra SW with the 89 HP (66 kW / 90 PS) engine and five-speed manual. The entry-level sedan in the Iskra range begins at 1,277,000 rubles ($16,100).

The Iskra SW Drive rides on 15-inch black steel wheels with chrome grille inserts, and standard features include an 8-inch Lada Enjoy Evo infotainment system, heated front seats, heated mirrors, air conditioning, cruise control, and dual airbags.

The Iskra, revealed in mid-2024, is built on a localized adaptation of the Dacia-derived CMF-B platform from the Renault Group era and is available in sedan, SW, and SW Cross variants.

Lada also showcased a track-only Iskra Cup racecar developed with TMS Motorsport, featuring a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 215 HP (160 kW / 218 PS) and a six-speed sequential gearbox, along with a custom bodykit, lowered suspension, white alloy wheels, and a roll cage.
