Genesis has pulled the wraps off the Magma GT3 concept at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, signaling its serious intent to compete in GT3 racing. The track-focused machine is a direct evolution of the Magma GT supercar unveiled last November, designed from the ground up with racing in mind rather than being a road car converted to a racer. The Magma GT3 was developed in parallel with the road-going Magma GT by the Genesis Magma Racing team alongside Hyundai Motorsport, leveraging the same powertrain philosophy as the GMR-001 Hypercar that competes in the FIA WEC series.

While Genesis has not disclosed full technical specifications, it confirms the use of “advanced thermal management strategies” and a “race-focused rear structure” engineered for endurance durability. The design language remains rooted in the Magma GT’s mid-engine supercar proportions, but the GT3 version is far more aggressive. It rides on a wider track with center-lock wheels, features a prominent carbon-fiber fin on the front doors, massive hood vents, large front-wheel louvers, twin canards on the front bumper, a larger intake, revised lighting, bigger engine cover vents, a swan-neck rear wing, a revised twin-tail light setup, horizontal grille slats, a deep diffuser, and dual round exhaust tips.

Inside, the cabin is stripped down compared to the road car’s luxury interior, with plexiglass racing windows, a safety net, and a racing bucket seat visible. Genesis emphasizes that the Magma GT3 is part of a broader motorsport strategy aimed at strengthening the connection between its road cars and racing programs. Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke reiterated the company’s plan to produce both the road and race versions of the Magma GT, stating that both will enter production “very soon.” This follows the brand’s recent expansion into new European markets, including France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, with additional launches planned for Austria, Denmark, Poland, and Portugal.
