The refreshed 2027 Mazda CX-5 is officially rolling out to dealerships, bringing a fresh set of tech updates while retaining its driver-focused character as a compelling alternative to segment rivals like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. For the 2027 model year, every version of the CX-5 comes equipped with updated infotainment software featuring integrated Google Gemini AI assistance, allowing drivers to utilize voice commands similar to a Google-enabled phone while keeping their eyes on the road. Under the hood, power comes from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine pumping out 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed through a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the SUV continues to run on regular 87-octane fuel. Standard across all trims is all-wheel drive, improving capability for poor weather and weekend trips. Visually, the exterior styling remains largely unchanged.

Safety equipment is robust, including standard radar cruise control, traffic-sign and speed-limit support, rear cross-traffic and brake assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and a driver attention monitor. Pricing starts at $31,485 including destination for the entry-level 2.5 S Select. Moving up the lineup, the S Preferred adds 19-inch wheels, while the Premium and top-tier S Premium Plus bring luxury touches like leather upholstery and a power liftgate. Pricing for the flagship S Premium Plus trim starts at least at $40,935.
