Jeep Compass Sport AT Debuts in India at Rs 21.99 Lakh With 9-Speed Automatic

Stellantis India has expanded its SUV lineup with the launch of the new Jeep Compass Sport AT, priced at Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

This new release introduces the most affordable automatic gearbox variant to the Compass lineup in India, arriving just ahead of the festive Diwali season.

Previously, the Compass Sport MT served as the absolute base variant at Rs 18.29 lakh (ex-showroom), creating a price delta of Rs 3.7 lakh between the manual and the new automatic version.

The Sport AT also establishes itself as the most accessible Diesel Automatic variant of the Compass in the country.

Mechanically, the Sport AT retains the familiar 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine, which churns out 170 bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of peak torque.

Power is sent exclusively to the front wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission in this 2WD setup, while AWD remains reserved for higher-tier trims.

Despite sitting at the bottom of the variant hierarchy—which also includes Longitude (O2), Trail Edition, Limited (O), Model S (O2), and Track Edition—the Sport trim is packed with standard equipment.

Features include 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, powered ORVMs, cruise control, auto hold, steering-mounted controls, Dynamic Torque Steer, and Frequency Selective Dampers.

Additionally, buyers can opt for an optional accessory pack priced at Rs 29,900, which bundles a security dashcam, ambient cabin lighting, all-weather floor mats, mud flaps, and a special Swoosh decal.
