BMW has officially pulled the wraps off the next-generation X5 and its all-electric sibling, the iX5, both slated for launch in 2026. The German brand is billing the new X5 as the ultimate do-it-all luxury SUV, now offering an expanded lineup of powertrains that includes a battery-electric iX5 variant for the first time. The iX5 is confirmed to deliver up to 525 miles of real-world range on a full charge, marking a significant step forward for BMW’s large-SUV electrification strategy. The reveal comes complete with the first official photographs of both models, showcasing their revised exterior design and updated interiors. While detailed specifications, pricing, and full technical data remain under wraps, BMW has confirmed that the new X5 will continue to serve as the benchmark in the premium large-SUV segment, combining performance, practicality, and cutting-edge technology. The company has not disclosed when UK or global market availability will begin, nor has it provided further details on engine options, power outputs, or equipment levels beyond the iX5’s headline range figure.
