Michelin has launched an AI-powered assistant for its Connected Fleet platform, designed to provide UK fleet operators with instant operational insights via typed prompts. The tool, available through the MyConnectedFleet web platform, allows fleet managers to query and generate reports on areas such as driver fuel consumption, driver performance, and tire maintenance. It can answer simple operational questions, produce reports, and identify trends in text or visual formats using real-time data. The AI Assistant aims to reduce complexity and support fleet managers in their daily work by offering immediate answers to both quick and complex queries. Developed in collaboration with some of Michelin’s largest customers, the tool provides a more intuitive way to interact with vehicle usage data while eliminating the need to generate multiple reports. Sophie Foucque, CEO of Michelin Connected Fleet for Europe, Africa, and Australia, stated that the AI Assistant enables “augmented fleet managers” to focus fully on operational performance. The system operates as a closed system to protect customer data confidentiality and can integrate with other Connected Fleet technologies, including onboard cameras, automatic tire wear inspection, and tire underinflation alerts. The AI Assistant is currently available to Connected Fleet customers in the UK, the US, France, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Italy, with additional features to be introduced based on customer feedback.
