When the Indian government imposed a 350cc displacement cap to lower taxes under GST 2.0, many OEMs stuck to larger engines. Hero and Harley-Davidson, however, had kept their 440cc X440 model. Now the duo has downsized the engine and renamed the bike X350T.

The Indian X350T has been spotted with a new orange theme and updated graphics, but otherwise shares the same mainframe, subframe and aesthetics introduced with the T variant last year. It retains the same equipment: dual‑channel ABS disc brakes, a portrait‑style TFT instrument cluster, a single‑piece seat with a pillion step, ribbed rider design, USD front forks, twin‑shock rear suspension, all‑LED lighting with circular headlights, a flyscreen and a wide handlebar. The only change is the engine: the X440T ran a 440cc oil‑cooled unit that produced 27 bhp and 38 Nm and was mated to a 6‑speed gearbox.
The new X350T is expected to use a 350cc engine that could generate around 25 bhp and 35 Nm, with an electric throttle body (figures speculative). The X440T is priced at Rs 2.86 lakh ex‑sh and offered in four mono‑tone colours – Vivid Black, Pearl White, Pearl Blue and Pearl Red. The X350T will be available in Black, Red, Orange and Military Green. Launch is expected in the coming weeks.
