As of September 1, 2026, Axel Ediger will assume the role of Head of Production and Site Management at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Düsseldorf, succeeding Claudia Malkus, who will take over as Head of Production Powertrain for Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart on October 1, 2026.

Ediger, currently responsible for production planning and assembly at the Sindelfingen site, brings international experience in production management to his new role.

He started his career at Mercedes-Benz in 1993 and has held various positions, including leading the Completely-Knocked-Down (CKD) plant in Bangkok and overseeing production in Peking, China.
