Waze is introducing a range of new features, including personalized navigation, a motorcycle mode, and the ability to find destinations for users. The personalized navigation feature suggests routes based on users’ previous trips, learning their preferences and adapting to their driving habits. The motorcycle mode is designed to help motorcyclists avoid hazards such as potholes, speed bumps, and raised crosswalks, using real-time traffic information and input from a dedicated group of motorcycle map editors. This feature is initially launching in several countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, and the Philippines. Additionally, Waze is introducing a ‘less chatty’ mode, which minimizes interruptions and keeps updates short, while still providing critical reminders about hazards, turns, and lane changes. The app is also gaining Conversational Reporting, which allows users to report issues using voice commands, and Destination Search, which can find destinations for users based on their queries. These features are being rolled out globally, with some initially available to the Waze beta community.
