USA Truck has launched a two-year Military Apprenticeship Program to help transitioning service members move into driving and diesel technician roles. The program, developed in partnership with Fastport, allows eligible participants to receive company wages and a military housing allowance of about $1,600 monthly. The goal is to create structured career pathways for personnel leaving active-duty service and provide stability for them and their families during the transition. USA Truck CEO George Henry stated that the program offers a meaningful bridge from military service to a career in transportation, and that veterans bring invaluable leadership, discipline, and technical expertise. The company has received several awards for its support of veterans, including the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Pro Patria Awards and the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. USA Truck is recruiting transitioning service members for both apprenticeship tracks, with the program intended to ease the transition to civilian life for service members entering the transportation workforce.
