Rosemont, ILL: Driver Tries to Rejoin I-294 from Exit Ramp, Nearly Causes T-Bone Collision

A driver in a Ford F-250 attempted to rejoin I-294 from an exit ramp in Rosemont, Illinois, nearly causing a t-bone collision with a dashcam owner who had the right of way. The incident occurred on July 26, 2026, at Exit 40 towards the 90 Toll Road and 190 West towards O’Hare and River Rd. The dashcam footage, shared on Reddit, shows the driver trying to hop back onto the interstate through a gore point, despite having the option to re-route and add only 6 miles and less than 10 minutes to their journey.
