The first incident totaled their old vehicle, while the second, involving a new Ford Bronco, triggered the SUV’s automatic emergency braking system, preventing a more severe crash. The latest collision occurred on Route 422 near the Pawling Road overpass in Phoenixville. In the first clip, the user’s original car was stopped when a distracted driver behind them rear-ended the vehicle in front, pushing it into their car. Their vehicle was declared a total loss. Just two days after purchasing a replacement, the user was driving near the Marketplace at Oaks shopping center when another distracted driver in a Ford Bronco followed too closely while looking at their phone. The Bronco’s automatic emergency brakes engaged, but the SUV still made slight contact with the rear of the user’s new car. The Bronco driver pulled over briefly, and after inspecting for damage—finding none—they continued on their way.
