Kraiburg partners with HF Group for new rubber mixing line upgrade

German rubber compound specialist Gummiwerk Kraiburg has installed a new rubber mixing line at one of its German plants, featuring an HF Group IM190E internal mixer as part of a brownfield production upgrade. The project replaced an existing K5 mixer with the high-performance IM190E unit to boost production capacity while keeping the plant footprint compact, according to HF Group. Engineering work included 3D mapping of the facility, digital plant modelling, detailed design of hydraulics, piping and cable systems, and installation planning. The upgrade also introduced a new cooling line and batch-off system, with engineering and equipment procurement executed in parallel. HF Group confirmed the project was completed “on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.” Guenther Beisser, director of engineering services at Kraiburg, called the collaboration “a perfect” match for the company’s requirements. HF Group stated the new line is “designed to provide maximum flexibility to meet even the most demanding customer requirements efficiently and reliably.” Headquartered in Waldkraiburg, Germany, Gummiwerk Kraiburg is a leading manufacturer of customised rubber and silicone compounds.
