Ford has introduced the new Explorer ST Sinister Package, a $1,695 option pack that brings a blacked-out trim, amber lights, and dark-edged ST badges to the 2027 Explorer ST.
The package includes gloss-black 21-inch wheels, darkened ST badges, and distinctive amber running lights that make the front end stand out after sunset.
The Sinister Package is intended as a tribute to the enthusiast community that has embraced the Explorer ST since its launch, with owners having spent years personalizing their SUVs with black wheels, dark trim, and subtle styling tweaks.
Under the hood, there are no upgrades, with the bi-turbo Ecoboost V6 producing 400 HP, although it’s worth noting that the latest ST’s engine makes 385 HP, down from 400 HP in MY25.

The package is part of Ford’s effort to deliver vehicles that appeal to emotions, not just wallets, as stated by the company’s CEO.
Additionally, buyers of new 2026 and 2027 Explorer ST models will receive access to the Explorer ST Experience, a one-day driving school designed to help owners explore the capabilities of their SUVs in a controlled environment.
