Kawasaki is making a bold return to the adult two-stroke motocross segment with the all-new 2027 KX327, marking its first fresh 327cc two-stroke engine design in over two decades and its first-ever two-stroke motocrosser with electric starting. The $9,099 MSRP positions it competitively against rivals like the Beta 250 RX ($9,690), KTM 300 SX ($9,899), and Beta 350 RX ($10,290). The liquid-cooled 327cc two-stroke single is fed by fuel injection (still requiring premix oil) and features a powervalve for broader power delivery, plus two selectable power modes.
A five-speed close-ratio transmission with a hydraulically actuated clutch sends power to a 19-inch rear wheel shod in a low-profile Dunlop Geomax MX34 tire. The chassis borrows the aluminum perimeter frame from the KX450F, built from forged, extruded, and cast components for a slim profile that enhances rider movement. Suspension duties fall to fully adjustable KYB units—a 48mm inverted AOS coil-spring fork up front and a linkage-assisted shock at the rear—paired with Nissin brakes (270mm front, 240mm rear) for strong stopping power.
Ergonomics are adjustable, with the handlebar offering four positions and the footpegs two, while ODI Lock-On grips allow quick grip swaps. The KX327 arrives in dealerships in late 2026, clad in Kawasaki’s signature Lime Green. Rideology The App KX2 integration lets riders monitor vehicle settings, riding logs, and maintenance data via smartphone.

Specs include a claimed weight of 233.7 lbs (dry weight not confirmed), Takasago Excel rims, and a chain final drive. The KX327X off-road variant is also revealed, targeting cross-country racers.
