Hyundai’s Best-Selling SUV Got A Major Price Cut

Hyundai has introduced a cheaper version of the Tucson hybrid for 2026, with a front-wheel-drive variant starting at $32,550, including destination charge.

This new variant is $1,500 cheaper than its all-wheel-drive counterpart, making the Tucson hybrid one of the most affordable in its segment.

The Tucson Hybrid features a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 231 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque combined, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The introduction of the 2026 Tucson Hybrid SE FWD lowers the hybrid’s starting price, making it slightly more expensive than the Kia Sportage Hybrid, which starts at $31,985, and undercuts the 2026 Toyota RAV4, which starts at $33,495.

Hyundai is also launching a new Tucson Hybrid Night trim, which starts at $44,175 and features gloss-black upgrades, including 19-inch black alloy wheels, gloss-black front and rear bumper trim, black mirror caps, and black window surrounds.

The Night edition is based on the Tucson Limited trim and comes standard with a head-up display, Bose audio, a heated steering wheel, and more.

With the current high gas prices, Hyundai’s offer of a more affordable hybrid may appeal to budget-conscious buyers, which could be a factor in the automaker’s recent strong sales performance.
