BMW M Motorsport Dominates Nürburgring Weekend with Multiple Victories Across Series

BMW M Motorsport capped a frenetic mid-August at the Nürburing with a blistering display of speed and consistency across multiple racing series. The action peaked from August 14–16, 2026, as the German circuit hosted DTM, ADAC GT4 Germany, BMW M2 Cup, and a one-off showcase of the BMW M3 Touring 24H. Marco Wittmann (GER) delivered a masterclass in the DTM, securing victory in both races for Schubert Motorsport behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO. Meanwhile, BMW M2 Cup regular Michael Schrey (GER) continued his perfect streak, dominating the third round at the Nürburgring with two wins and two pole positions in the #2 BMW M2 Racing fielded by Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport.

The BMW M3 Touring 24H made its eagerly awaited return to the Nürburgring, offering VIP taxi rides piloted by works driver Max Hesse (GER). Hesse described the experience as electric, noting that guests exited the car with beaming smiles and shouts of joy after blasting around the Grand Prix circuit. The paddock-bound BMW M3 Touring 24H will next appear at the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS at the end of August, where it will be displayed in the M Showroom until then. In ADAC GT4 Germany, FK Performance Motorsport and ME Motorsport flexed their muscles.

FK Performance claimed third in race one with Luca Link (GER) and Luis Moser (AUT), then followed up with a second-place finish in race two with Gabriele Piana (ITA) and Benjamin Sylvestersson (FIN). ME Motorsport secured second place in race one with Linus Hahne and Phillip Wiskirchen (both GER) in the #77 BMW M4 GT4 EVO, while Christopher Holst (SUI) and Niklas Hirsch (GER) rounded out the podiums in the respective races. Across the Channel, Century Motorsport kept the momentum going in the British GT Championship at Snetterton 300. Jonathon Beeson and Charles Clark (both GBR) delivered a runner-up finish in the Silver-Am class with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO in race two, while the team also celebrated podiums in Silver and Pro-Am categories with the BMW M4 GT4 EVO.

The WSR FlexiFly team added a third-place finish in Pro-Am. The Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) had already delivered headline results on August 1, 2026, when BMW M works drivers Ugo de Wilde (BEL), Jens Klingmann, and Tim Tramnitz (GER) climbed to second place overall in the #77 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from Schubert Motorsport. Dan Harper (GBR), Leyton Fourie (RSA), and Maxime Oosten (NED) secured fifth overall and third in the SP9 PRO class in the #1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO from FK Performance Motorsport. The weekend also saw eight class victories spread across multiple categories, including SP10 with the BMW M4 GT4 EVO from AV Racing by Black Falcon, and the BMW M2 class win for Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport.

Elsewhere, the GT Cup Series at Most (CZE) from July 31 to August 2, 2026, saw H&R Spezialfedern and GT Sports teams each collect two class victories with the BMW M4 GT3 EVO and BMW M4 GT4 EVO respectively. Björn Lellmann, Head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport, summed up the weekend: “In many racing series, things tend to quiet down in August due to the summer break, but last weekend things really heated up at the Nürburgring.
