Cardo Systems has launched the Venture, the company’s first off-road helmet with a mesh intercom system integrated directly into the shell. Designed for trail and dual-sport riders, the Venture carries an MSRP of $799 and hits dealer shelves later this summer.
It meets both ECE 22.06 and DOT safety standards, making it suitable for off-road, adventure, and dual-sport use. Cardo CEO Alon Lumbroso says the helmet bridges a long-standing gap in off-road communication, enabling riders to stay connected in demanding terrain where traditional intercoms fail.
The built-in system uses Cardo’s second-generation Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC), supporting up to 15 riders at a range of up to one mile. It’s also compatible with other brands’ Bluetooth headsets, ensuring mixed groups can communicate seamlessly.

Audio quality comes from 40mm Sound by JBL speakers, and the system supports voice commands and over-the-air updates. The electronics are removable, serviceable, and upgradeable, with an IP67 waterproof rating that allows submersion in water over three feet deep and full dust resistance.

The Venture isn’t a ground-up design—it’s built on the Leatt Moto 8.5 platform, featuring a Kevlar/carbon/fiberglass composite shell and four-density impact foam for interior protection. Leatt’s 360-degree Turbine Technology helps reduce rotational forces during a crash and absorbs low-speed impacts linked to concussions.

The helmet also includes emergency-release cheek pads, a double D-ring strap, a breakaway peak, and is neck-brace compatible. It’s offered in sizes XS to XXL with three shell sizes, and uses Leatt’s Pro-Fit modular pad system for customizable fit.
The interior features an antimicrobial Ionic+ liner for moisture wicking and odor control, plus an integrated side port for a hydration line. Ventilation comes via low- and high-speed air intake vents with internal channels to keep the rider’s head cool.

Weighing between 2.8 and 3.2 pounds without electronics (3.2 to 3.4 pounds with electronics), the Venture comes with a five-year warranty on the helmet, three years on the electronics, and one year on the battery.
