Electric-vehicle maker Rivian Automotive Inc. has raised its 2026 delivery forecast to between 65,000 and 70,000 vehicles, up from Wall Street’s expectation of roughly 63,000. The company delivered 12,194 vehicles in the second quarter, beating analyst estimates of about 10,600. Production also outpaced expectations at 12,613 units. The improved outlook follows the launch of the R2 SUV, a smaller and more affordable electric SUV designed to broaden Rivian’s market appeal beyond its flagship truck and SUV lineup. Rivian highlighted strong quarter-over-quarter growth in its commercial van and R1 electric vehicle segments alongside the R2’s debut. Shares rose more than 5% in early New York trading after the announcement.
