Jayden Schaper from South Africa got off to a strong start, scoring a flawless round of 64 (-8) with eight birdies to take the clubhouse lead. The 25-year-old, ranked fourth in the Race to Dubai, underlined his fine form. The German flight, featuring Martin Kaymer, Freddy Schott, and Nicolai von Dellingshausen, was watched by numerous spectators, but none of the trio managed to post an outstanding score. The event is being held in sunny conditions and pleasant temperatures. The leaderboard for the tournament can be found on the European Tour website.
