Michelin’s fleet management arm, MICHELIN Connected Fleet, has launched an AI-powered assistant inside its MyConnectedFleet web platform, promising fleet managers instant answers to operational questions that once took hours of manual digging. The MICHELIN AI Assistant taps into real-time fleet usage data to deliver actionable insights on fuel efficiency, maintenance needs, vehicle availability and cost tracking—all via natural-language queries. Users can ask for a report on the most fuel-efficient drivers this month, flag trucks due for tire maintenance, check how many vehicles are off the road, or pull a fuel-cost summary for the month. Designed as a closed system, it keeps data confidential while cutting through the clutter of multiple reports. The AI assistant is pitched as a true partner for managers overseeing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), passenger transport and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), offering a consolidated view of fuel use, driver behavior and journey data. New features will roll out gradually based on customer feedback. “The AI Assistant is the natural evolution of our DNA, which is built around supporting our customers,” said Sophie Foucque, CEO of MICHELIN Connected Fleet for Europe, Africa and Australia. “Co-developed with some of our largest customers, it offers a more intuitive way to interact with vehicle usage data, removing the need to generate multiple reports so augmented fleet managers can focus fully on operational performance.” Key benefits include direct access from the MyConnectedFleet portal, instant responses to quick safety or cost questions, and the ability to generate reports or spot trends in text or visual form, all backed by real-time data. According to a MICHELIN Connected Fleet MarketPulse Survey of more than 400 fleet operators in France and the UK conducted in March 2025, 78% of fleet managers believe AI will transform the sector. The AI Assistant leverages 130 years of mobility expertise and 30 years of data-science experience to deliver real-time access to unique know-how. It can also be combined with other MICHELIN solutions—such as intelligent onboard cameras, patented automatic tire-wear inspection tech and underinflation alerts—to form a comprehensive, AI-first approach tailored to fleet managers’ practical needs. The MICHELIN AI Assistant is available now to existing MICHELIN Connected Fleet customers in the United Kingdom, United States, France, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Italy.
