Ford’s SUV lineup has become a go-to for used-car shoppers in the U.S., with several models ranking among the most popular choices in the first quarter of 2026. According to Experian’s Q1 2026 Automotive Consumer Trends & Analysis Report, Ford secured the third-highest market share among SUV brands over the past 12 months, trailing only Jeep (11.79%) and Chevrolet (10.97%), but ahead of Toyota (8.73%) and Honda (6.56%).

The Blue Oval’s strong showing in the used-SUV segment is partly driven by depreciation, which makes its models more affordable for budget-conscious buyers. The Ford Expedition, for instance, ranked 24th in iSeeCars’ Top 25 Cars That Hold Their Value Best – and the 25 Worst study, losing an average of 56.3% of its original MSRP ($34,825) over five years.

The Mustang Mach-E also saw significant depreciation, ranking sixth among one-to-five-year-old used vehicles in Q1 2026, with a 9.5% loss ($3,076) over a year and an average price of $29,373. The Ford Bronco followed closely, placing 16th after shedding 6.4% ($3,014) of its value, with an average list price of $44,067.

Meanwhile, the Ford Explorer Hybrid ranked 20th, losing 5.8% ($1,823) of its value over a year, with an average price of $29,405. The trend underscores how Ford’s SUVs—ranging from the rugged Bronco to the electric Mach-E—are not only holding their appeal in the new-car market but also becoming more accessible in the used segment.
