Trucking companies, travel centers, and industry groups are preparing to show their appreciation for professional drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW), which runs from September 13-19. Werner Enterprises, Pilot Co., Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, and Sheetz are among the organizations planning events, giveaways, and discounts for drivers. Werner will host appreciation events at its locations nationwide, featuring drivers, maintenance technicians, office employees, and customers. Pilot is partnering with the Diesel Brothers and Kenworth Truck Co. to give away a custom-built Kenworth truck and $50,000 through its Road Warrior contest. Love’s is offering double points on in-store purchases and triple points on drink refills throughout September, while Sheetz has reduced the price of bulk diesel exhaust fluid to $1.99 per gallon at 55 locations. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association will hold events at five service plazas during NTDAW, featuring free giveaways and information about the trucking industry. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service will display signs and banners recognizing truck drivers, and Samsara has launched its Driver Perks program, offering discounts and perks from over 50 companies.
