European Rubber Journal spotlights a new precision dosing system from Fulda, Germany-based Uth GmbH designed for continuous mixing processes in elastomer and rubber manufacturing. The system leverages Uth’s roll-ex gear pumps to feed, plasticise, and dose viscous materials such as polyisobutylene, SBR bales, and butyl rubber with high accuracy. Its modular architecture integrates application-specific feeding units, allowing processors to handle polymers in different forms while maintaining precise dosing. Uth highlights that continuous feeding stabilises processing conditions, minimises air inclusions, and reduces production downtime. The technology targets manufacturers seeking tighter control over material flow in rubber and elastomer production lines.
