The Supervisory Board of BMW AG has appointed Dorothea von Boxberg to the company’s Board of Management, effective September 1, as the new Labour Relations Director. She will succeed Ilka Horstmeier, who is handing over her role as Member of the Board of Management responsible for People and Real Estate. Dorothea von Boxberg, currently CEO of Brussels Airlines, brings extensive experience in transformation processes and an outside-in perspective on the industry.
She previously held leadership positions at Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Lufthansa Cargo AG. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Nicolas Peter, praised von Boxberg’s technical background and leadership strength, saying she is an excellent fit for the BMW Group.
The Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Milan Nedeljković, believes von Boxberg will be an excellent addition to the Board of Management in addressing the company’s new challenges. The BMW Group, with its four brands – BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, and BMW Motorrad – is the world’s leading premium manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles, with a global sales network in over 140 countries and a workforce of 154,540 employees as of December 31, 2025.
