BYD‘s Fang Cheng Bao brand is gearing up to launch the Ti 9 full-size plug-in hybrid SUV in China after November 15, 2026, with the domestic debut of the Shark plug-in hybrid pickup slated for late November or early December. General Manager Xiong Tianbo announced the launch timeline, confirming that display and test-drive vehicles for the Ti 9 will hit dealerships in late October.

Targeting urban family buyers, the Ti 9 serves as the flagship for Fang Cheng Bao’s unibody Ti series. It measures 5,270 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,880 mm in height, riding on a 3,130 mm wheelbase. Moving away from the body-on-frame construction seen on the Bao 5 and Bao 8, the Ti 9 utilizes a monocoque structure paired with BYD’s DMS hybrid platform.

Inside, the Ti 9 features a six-seat 2+2+2 layout with independent second-row seats. All three rows come equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Cabin tech includes a 30-inch panoramic front display and a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted, fold-down rear entertainment screen. Under the hood, a plug-in hybrid powertrain pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 115 kW (154 HP) with dual electric motors producing up to 200 kW each, churning out a combined 400 kW (536 HP) to both axles. A 66.48 kWh LFP battery from FinDreams Battery enables a claimed electric-only range of 310 km under the WLTC cycle, while total range is claimed to exceed 1,600 km. Standard equipment across all trims includes BYD’s DiSus-A air suspension featuring road-preview capability, the Intelligent All-Terrain System (iATS), flash-charging tech, and second-generation Blade batteries. Exterior options span six finishes: Flowing Light Gold, Universal Silver, Starburst Gold, Crimson Cloud Red, Deep Space Blue, and Meteorite Black, available in solid or two-tone paint schemes.

Following the Ti 9, the Shark plug-in hybrid pickup will enter the domestic market in late November or early December 2026, after initial international rollouts that began in Mexico in May 2024. Listed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as a light-duty multipurpose truck, the domestic Shark measures 5,457 mm long, 1,971 mm wide, and 1,925 mm tall with a 3,260 mm wheelbase. Its cargo bed dimensions are 1,520 x 1,530 x 515 mm, with a curb weight of 2,710 kg, a gross vehicle weight rating of 3,495 kg, and a rated payload of 460 kg.

The domestic Shark employs a 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine (model BYD476ZQF) with a net output of 135 kW (181 HP). Its AWD system combines a 170 kW front electric motor and a 150 kW rear motor for a combined peak electric-motor output of 320 kW (429 HP), pushing the truck to a maximum speed of 180 km/h. Power is supplied by an LFP battery from Xi’an FinDreams Battery, though official regulatory filings do not specify capacity or pure electric range for the Chinese version. Prices and trim levels for both the Ti 9 and the Shark remain unannounced.
