Porsche has unveiled the 2027 Taycan, featuring new simulated gears and a NACS port, but has also discontinued the Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo wagon versions in the US market.

According to a Porsche spokesperson, the long roof variants are no longer available in the US, and the online configurator only includes sedans.

However, the 4S Cross Turismo will still be sold in Canada, although the base Taycan or Taycan 4 sedans are not available in that country.

The Sport Turismo model was only available as a GTS, with a 19% take rate among GTS buyers as of 2024.

The Cross Turismo accounted for 12%, 7%, 4%, and 10% of base, 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S Taycan sales, respectively, as of 2024.

The discontinuation of the Taycan wagons leaves a limited selection of wagons available in the US, including the BMW M5 Touring, Audi’s RS6 Avant and next-gen A6 Allroad, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain and E53 Wagon, and the Subaru Outback.

Porsche’s decision to discontinue the wagons may be due to the lack of popularity of wagons in the US market, but it’s worth noting that wagons are still popular in other markets, such as China, where luxurious electric wagons are in high demand.
