Michelin Confirmed as Exclusive Tire Supplier for FIA WEC Hypercar Category Through 2032

Following a tender process, Michelin has been selected to remain the exclusive tire supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) through the end of the 2032 season. This decision extends Michelin’s current commitment by three seasons and confirms the confidence placed in its technological expertise and ability to innovate at the highest level of endurance racing. Michelin will continue to use the FIA WEC to develop increasingly high-performing and sustainable technologies, benefiting both manufacturers competing on the racetrack and motorists around the world. The company has been continuously present at the highest level of endurance racing since 1998 and has contributed to the revival of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012. Michelin currently supplies every manufacturer competing in the Hypercar category, and the FIA WEC serves as a powerful innovation accelerator for the company. The exceptional demands placed on tires in the championship help accelerate the development of technologies that can subsequently be applied to tires for production vehicles. Michelin has also used endurance racing as a laboratory for more sustainable mobility, and the new 2026 MICHELIN Pilot Sport Endurance range incorporates 50% renewable and recycled materials in its slick tires. The extension of this partnership will provide Michelin with an ideal platform to continue driving innovation alongside the FIA, the ACO, and all manufacturers competing in the Hypercar category.
