The Hyundai ix35 is a compact crossover from the late 2000s / early 2010s. Europe and several markets used the ix35 name; the US, Korea, and many regions sold the same LM-generation vehicle as the Tucson. Two badges, one platform family.
It replaced the first Tucson and filled the urban-SUV niche: higher seating, ground clearance, optional AWD, petrol and diesel. The next Tucson largely retired the ix35 nameplate.
Pre- and post-facelift lighting and cabins differ — compare photos, not just the year in the ad. On the used market today, value is entry price and familiar Hyundai/Kia service; risks are body age, diesel emissions hardware where fitted, and AWD coupling health.
