ITE Management has acquired North American Chassis Pool Cooperative (NACPC) in a deal announced on July 21, 2026, expanding its intermodal chassis portfolio. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. NACPC operates a regional pool of approximately 20,000 intermodal chassis, enabling drayage companies to lease equipment instead of owning it. NACPC began manufacturing its own chassis after acquiring Pratt Industries Intermodal Chassis in December 2021. The cooperative was formed in 2012. ITE Management also owns Milestone Chassis, which had around 36,000 chassis at the time of its acquisition in December 2025, and Trend Intermodal Chassis Leasing, purchased in 2023. NACPC CEO Darren Hawkins will lead the combined Milestone, Trend, and NACPC operations under ITE’s intermodal division. Hawkins, who joined NACPC in 2024, previously served as CEO of bankrupt less-than-truckload carrier Yellow Corp. ITE now operates nearly $12 billion in infrastructure assets across rail, intermodal, air, and other transportation sectors. The acquisition underscores ITE’s commitment to scaling its chassis leasing platform within the growing intermodal freight market.
