Mercedes-Benz Classic made its successful debut at the young event “The Aurora” in southern Sweden, showcasing legendary classics like the W 125 and C 111 alongside their modern interpretations, the Vision EQ Silver Arrow and Vision One-Eleven. The event featured two authentic replicas of the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, which marked the beginning of the automotive era. The W 125, a Grand Prix racing car from 1937, was displayed alongside the Vision EQ Silver Arrow, an electrically powered homage to the W 125. The C 111-II, a 1970 experimental vehicle, was paired with the Vision One-Eleven, a 2023 concept car. Mercedes-Benz Classic also presented a Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Rallye, which paid tribute to the brand’s rally racing heritage and the achievements of Swedish rally driver Ewy Rosqvist. The event also featured a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Flügeltürer” in a unique original paint and interior combination, as well as a simulator experience with a 300 SL. The “Aurora” event, which took place from June 26 to 28, 2026, is a crossover event that combines automotive classics with art, yachts, fashion, and mechanical watches. Mercedes-Benz is celebrating its 140th anniversary, marking 140 years of innovation since Carl Benz patented the first car and Gottlieb Daimler built the motor carriage.
