British authorities are on the hunt for two trailer loads of stolen Guinness beer, valued at $155,000, and the trailers themselves, worth an estimated $67,000. The theft occurred on August 31 from an industrial park near Liverpool, with the beer destined for pubs. Cheshire police are seeking the recovery of all stolen items, including about 800 barrels of stout. The incident comes just weeks after a beer heist in the US, where 34,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon were stolen, valued at $70,000. The Pabst company is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen beer. Detective Sergeant Gary McClatchy stated, ‘We will settle for nothing less than the full recovery of all the items stolen.’ The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to help solve the case.
