Goodyear has been awarded an “A” score by CDP in its 2026 Supplier Engagement Assessment, placing the tire giant among the top performers in supplier collaboration on climate-related issues. CDP, a global environmental disclosure platform, evaluates companies on how effectively they engage suppliers to reduce emissions, set science-based targets, and drive sustainable practices across the value chain. An “A” score signifies leadership-level performance, reflecting Goodyear’s commitment to integrating climate action into its supplier relationships. The company’s strategy includes near-term science-based climate targets for 2030 and a long-term net-zero goal for 2050. Goodyear’s supplier engagement program, launched in 2023, requires raw material suppliers to set their own science-based targets, adopt renewable energy goals, and report progress publicly. The program also mandates the sharing of product-level greenhouse gas emissions data with Goodyear, enabling granular emissions impact analysis by material group and supplier. Additional initiatives include supplier-specific roadmaps and assessments to identify improvement opportunities and align climate goals across the supply chain. Goodyear operates 49 manufacturing facilities across 19 countries, employing approximately 63,000 people. The company’s two Innovation Centers in Akron, Ohio, and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg, drive product and service development. This recognition underscores Goodyear’s broader sustainability strategy, which emphasizes governance, emissions management, and cross-value-chain collaboration as critical to its transition to a net-zero economy.
