BYD is set to launch its new flagship electric vehicle, the Yangwang Altior, which boasts a range of luxurious features including suicide doors, a gemstone grille, and potentially solid-state batteries.
The Yangwang Altior is part of BYD’s ultra-luxury brand, which sits at the top of the company’s brand hierarchy and offers the most high-end and technically advanced vehicles.
The new model is expected to be around 5,500 mm in length and will feature a dramatic, wide-open entrance thanks to its 90-degree swinging doors.

The vehicle’s front fascia will also feature a dot-matrix Gemstone grille and crystal-inspired headlights.
While BYD has not confirmed many details, the ultra-luxury sedan is expected to be unveiled in Dubai, UAE, around November 5, with prices rumored to start in the 2 million yuan range, or around $300,000.

The Yangwang Altior is expected to feature ‘unprecedented disruptive technology,’ according to Zheng Yu, Yangwang’s executive general manager, and may be BYD’s first vehicle to use solid-state batteries.

The company has previously debuted its latest breakthrough tech in Yangwang vehicles, including its quad-motor e4 platform, second-generation Blade Batteries, and Flash Charging technology.
