Danfoss, a Danish group, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Italian hoses and fittings manufacturer Alfagomma. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Alfagomma will become part of the ‘fluid conveyance’ division within the Danfoss Power Solutions segment, creating a ‘leading global player in fluid conveyance.’ The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, subject to necessary approvals. Alfagomma, founded in 1956, is a privately owned global manufacturer and distributor of hoses and fittings with 28 production and assembly sites, around 4,500 employees, and annual sales of around €600 million. The company’s products are used in mobile hydraulics, industrial applications, marine, shipbuilding, and other industries. Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division manufactures hoses and fittings for applications including vehicles, aircraft, marine, mining, food and beverage, mobile and industrial equipment. The acquisition is seen as an ‘important strategic step’ for Danfoss, combining two businesses with complementary capabilities to enhance the Danish group’s position in global markets. The board of receivers of Alfagomma stated that the transaction represents the successful outcome of a structured process aimed at preserving business continuity and securing long-term value for Alfagomma and its stakeholders.
