China Machinery Maker Expanding Tire Mould, Curing Press Production

A Chinese machinery maker is expanding its production of tire moulds and curing presses in Shandong province. The project, valued at €100 million, has received environmental approval and will be completed in two phases. The expansion will add production capacity for mould shells and tire curing equipment, with an annual capacity of 20,000 mould shells and 6,000 key components for high-end green tire curing equipment. The project is being undertaken by Himile Machinery Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shandong Himile Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. The approval was issued by the Rizhao municipal ecology and environment bureau on July 15. The expansion is expected to support the growth of the tire industry in China.
