The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team had a difficult weekend at Donington Park, with both Miguel Oliveira and Danilo Petrucci returning from injury but unable to achieve the desired results. Oliveira finished 11th in Race 1, while Petrucci recorded two 15th-place finishes in the feature races. The team struggled to find the optimal setup, and despite hard work and determination, they were unable to unlock the bike’s performance. The team’s head, Sven Blusch, noted that they had hoped for a more successful weekend but were unable to translate the potential of the riders, bike, and team into better results. Technical Director Christian Gonschor added that the pre-event test at Donington Park proved misleading, and the reduced fuel-flow allowance compared to Japanese rivals made their fight back through the field more difficult. The team will use the summer break to make further progress and return stronger in September at Magny-Cours. Team Principal Shaun Muir expressed his pleasure at having both riders back but acknowledged that the weekend was difficult, and they need to focus on reviewing the data and finding confidence in the package. Oliveira noted that it was a tough weekend, but they scored points in both races and are eager to improve for the remainder of the season.
