BMW M and BMW Motorrad Celebrate 100 Years of Nürburgring with Nine Exclusive High-Performance Models

BMW M and BMW Motorrad are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring with a joint ‘100 Jahre Nürburgring’ edition, featuring nine exclusive high-performance models. The edition includes six BMW M automobiles – the M2, M3 Sedan, M3 Touring, M4 Coupé, M5 Sedan, and M5 Touring – and three BMW Motorrad M models – the M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, and M 1000 XR. Each model boasts unique design elements, including historical Nürburgring Green paint, edition-specific graphics, and model-dependent accents. The edition tagline ‘Born on the Racetrack. Made for the Streets.’ highlights the transfer of motorsport technology to high-performance vehicles for the road. The BMW M automobiles feature BMW M Ignite, a pre-chamber ignition system that increases efficiency under high load. The BMW Motorrad models are limited to 100 units worldwide and feature a painted fuel tank with Nürburgring silhouette, an airbox cover in the anniversary design, and carbon wheels with accent stripes in Nürburgring Green. The edition celebrates the long-standing relationship between BMW M and the Nürburgring, with all production vehicles being put through their paces on the Nordschleife.
