Black Donuts Group, a Finnish tire engineering and consulting company, has reported signs of recovery in the global tire investment market after a slowdown in 2025. The company’s order backlog continued to grow in 2026, following a recovery in the tire market towards the end of last year. Despite a 58% year-on-year decline in full-year sales to €6.6 million in 2025, Black Donuts remains optimistic about the near-term outlook for the industry. The company is also continuing efforts to commercialize its renewable tire-material technology through its subsidiary Nemus Materials. Nemus, a cellulose-based reinforcing material, is being developed to replace fossil-based tire inputs while maintaining tire-grade performance. Black Donuts expects its first raw-material innovation to advance towards production during 2026.
