UK-based Avon Technologies’ protection division has secured a €9.4 million order from a European NATO member under the NATO Support & Procurement Agency (NSPA) framework. The contract, valued at $10.8 million, covers FM50 twin-filter air-purifying respirators, FM61EU filters, and accessories, aimed at modernising military respiratory protection ahead of 2027. The FM50 is a full-face twin-filter respirator built to NATO military standards, engineered to reduce breathing resistance and boost wearer comfort while delivering continuous protection in hazardous environments. Avon Protection, which already supplies respirators to 16 NATO nations via the NSPA framework, highlighted the deal as reinforcing its outlook for the 2027 financial year. The company described the NSPA framework as a stable platform for repeat demand as member states continue to upgrade and standardise their CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) protection equipment.
