WWEX Group and Auctane have finalized their merger to launch ShipStation Global, a new entity combining freight brokerage services with AI-driven shipping technology. The deal, effective June 1, 2026, integrates WWEX Group’s commercial network and Auctane’s automation and carrier connectivity platforms to streamline logistics for small and midsize businesses. The combined company now serves over 3 million customers and processes more than 3 billion shipments annually, supported by a network of over 45,000 truckload carriers. ShipStation Global’s portfolio includes brands such as ShipStation, Stamps.com, Metapack, Packlink, Worldwide Express, GlobalTranz, Unishippers, Jear Logistics, and BLX Logistics.

The merger is backed by Thoma Bravo, with legal and financial advisers including Kirkland & Ellis, J.P. Morgan Securities, and Morgan Stanley & Co. Existing investors like CVC Funds retain a significant minority stake. ShipStation Global will operate from Texas, with offices in Dallas and Austin.
CEO Tom Madine emphasized the company’s mission to eliminate the need for fragmented logistics tools, stating, ‘Small and midsize businesses have been forced to stitch together multiple tools and relationships just to keep up. ShipStation Global changes that.’ Brian Jaffee, a partner at Thoma Bravo, highlighted the strategic timing of the merger, noting that AI is reshaping how organizations manage shipping and logistics. Aaron Dupuis, managing partner at CVC, added, ‘By uniting WWEX Group’s commercial engine with Auctane’s global software footprint, we are creating a company with the reach, technology and talent to deliver real results for customers.’ WWEX Group previously ranked No. 14 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
