Alpine has officially ended production of the second-generation A110 sports car after nine years, with the final unit rolling off the line on July 1. The lightweight, driver-focused coupe, though never sold in the U.S., earned global acclaim for its razor-sharp handling and engaging character. Over its production run, Alpine sold 28,701 examples of the A110, with 58% featuring blue paint and 33% finished in the brand’s signature Bleu Alpine.

The next-generation A110 will make its debut next weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as an electric two-seat sports car, positioning it to rival the upcoming electric Porsche Cayman. Alpine has confirmed it’s also developing a gasoline-powered version of the new A110 to cater to markets hesitant about full electrification. The outgoing model’s dynamic prowess set a high bar, but Alpine’s engineers are promising even more with the EV version.

The new A110 will feature an 800-volt battery split into front and rear halves, delivering a 40:60 weight distribution—more rear-biased than the outgoing mid-engine four-cylinder’s layout. Alpine claims the EV will achieve a range of over 340 miles, complete three laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife without battery derating, and weigh around 3,300 pounds. The brand’s U.S. ambitions are also in focus, as Alpine has hinted at crash testing the new A110 for American markets and is in talks with U.S. dealers.

A potential U.S. launch could be announced alongside the new model’s reveal. Founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé, Alpine’s ethos has always revolved around agility, elegance, and competitive spirit. Now under Renault Group’s umbrella, the brand continues to push boundaries, with its current lineup including the electric A290 hot hatch and the A390 electric crossover coupe.
