Aston Martin has officially pulled the wraps off the new Valhalla Spider, bringing open-air thrills to its flagship supercar without sacrificing its staggering performance figures. Making its global debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, the Spider retains the standard Valhalla’s carbon-fiber monocoque, ensuring structural rigidity remains uncompromised despite the removal of the fixed roof. The supercar comes standard with a removable fabric roof, which caps the top speed at 124 mph (200 km/h). However, customers who opt for the available removable carbon-fiber roof can match the coupe’s electronically limited top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h). To ensure top-down performance meets expectations, engineers implemented several design tweaks, including a special wind deflector to guide air over the cockpit and a modified roof scoop that is 1.3 inches (35 mm) taller than the coupe’s to feed the engine adequate airflow.
The Spider also preserves the hardtop’s dihedral doors, which now feature a frameless design. Inside and out, the droptop is just as customizable as the coupe, offering exposed and colored carbon-fiber body panels, unique paint schemes and liveries, satin black and titanium tailpipes, and forged aluminum or magnesium wheels. Comfort is addressed with standard carbon fiber Touring Seats, while the more aggressive carbon fiber seats from the Valhalla Coupe remain a no-cost option. Beneath the skin, the powertrain is completely untouched. The Valhalla Spider pairs a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with three electric motors, pumping out a combined 1,064 horsepower and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque.
Power is routed through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission to an all-wheel-drive system. The active aerodynamics and ESP have been recalibrated to adapt automatically depending on whether the roof is on or off, with the car generating more than 1,322 lbs (600 kg) of downforce when the roof is fitted. Tipping the scales at 3,703 lbs (1,680 kg) when equipped with all available lightweight options—just 55 lbs (25 kg) heavier than the coupe—the Spider rockets from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a blistering 2.5 seconds. Aston Martin has not yet announced pricing or exact production numbers for the Spider, though output is expected to be even more strictly limited than the Valhalla Coupe’s 999-unit worldwide cap. Deliveries are scheduled to kick off in the third quarter of next year.
