The OTC aluminum racing jack and jack stands offer a professional-grade solution for trackside tinkering and wheel changes, backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
Founded in Owatonna, Minnesota, in 1925, OTC is a Bosch brand supplying pro-tier tools for automotive, motorsport, industrial, and serious-work applications.

The tested setup includes the highly portable LDJA2 2-Ton Aluminum Racing Jack and SA02 2-Ton Aluminum Jack Stands.
Pricing at Summit Racing is $564.99 for the jack and $153.99 for the pair of stands, with the jack also found on sale for $539.99 on Amazon, and the stands listed at $153.99 on Amazon. A complete kit containing the jack and stands is listed at $749.99 at Summit Racing.

The author tested the equipment after a standard blue two-ton Harbor Freight jack failed to lift a Civic high enough from the rear-center jack point.
The OTC LDJA2 jack weighs 41 pounds, slides under cars as low as 3-1/4 inches with the saddle removed, and lifts to 18-5/8 inches.
By comparison, Harbor Freight’s Daytona two-ton aluminum jack tops out at 16-3/4 inches and weighs 42.7 pounds, costing around $220, which makes the OTC unit roughly two and a half times more expensive.

Both meet the ASME PASE safety standard, but OTC provides professional-grade hydraulic longevity, precise release valving, and long-term parts support through a replacement-parts site and network of authorized service centers.

OTC’s limited lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the product’s lifespan, though it excludes consumables like seals, wear items, and damage from abuse, modification, contamination, rust, side loading, or misuse.

Coverage applies only to the original retail buyer and requires proof of purchase, with freight prepaid for inspections. The equipment has been used on coupes, Scout leaf springs, a Polaris Ranger, and a go-kart.
While casual users can rely on cheaper setups meeting safety standards, and Harbor Freight offers a lower-cost alternative, OTC targets professional automotive technicians, shop owners, and DIYers with a higher budget who value repairable, high-end equipment.
