BYD has pulled the wraps off the official interior images for the second-generation Seal 07, showcasing a redesigned cabin dubbed the Ocean Rhythm cockpit. The cabin refresh follows leaked prototype photos published on October 22, arriving as domestic deliveries of the outgoing model dropped 37.3% month-on-month in September to 624 units.

The interior swaps out the previous model’s circular crystal gear selector for an electronic steering-column stalk. This shift opens up space on the floating centre console for two angled wireless smartphone charging pads, physical metallic toggle controls, and dual cupholders. Drivers get a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel alongside a digital instrument cluster, while a dashboard recess houses a head-up display. Premium touches include a 20-speaker Devialet sound system featuring laser-etched metallic door grilles. Front seats come equipped with heating, ventilation, and pneumatic massage, while extended seat cushions and contoured rear backrests complement the sedan’s 2,960 mm wheelbase. Official teasers also spotlight extended rear legroom and front zero-gravity seats.

These interior upgrades follow exterior details released by Zhang Zhuo, head of BYD’s Ocean sales division, and specs found in Chinese regulatory filings. The second-gen Seal 07 measures 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide, and 1,495 mm tall, growing 85 mm in length, 50 mm in width, and 60 mm in wheelbase compared to the outgoing Seal 07 EV. Exterior styling brings wave-shaped split headlights and semi-hidden door handles, with a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor featured exclusively on the EV configuration, while regulatory filings show the DM-i variant lacks this equipment.

Regulatory specs confirm two battery-electric configurations and one plug-in hybrid option. The Seal 07 EV offers a 245 kW (329 HP) rear motor paired with a 76.744 kWh LFP battery for up to 775 km of CLTC range (636 km WLTP), or a higher-output 300 kW (402 HP) motor utilizing an 88.682 kWh FinDreams LFP battery yielding up to 875 km of CLTC range (718 km WLTP). Both EV versions share a top speed of 240 km/h. Meanwhile, the Seal 07 DM-i plug-in hybrid combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 115 kW with a 160 kW electric motor and a 38.029 kWh LFP battery, providing a pure-electric WLTC range of 245 km and a top speed of 190 km/h.
