BYD’s premium brand Denza has announced that its all‑new electric SUV, the N8, will offer four distinct cabin colourways when it opens blind reservations in China on October 26, ahead of its November market launch. The five‑seat SUV features a 1.1‑meter panoramic head‑up display (PHUD) and a 30‑inch central touchscreen. The interior colour options are Moon over Empty Mountain (light beige and deep blue), Morning Mist Beige (monochrome beige), Dawn Red (warm reddish upholstery), and Evening Plain Brown (dark brown upholstery). Wood trim, concealed air‑conditioning vents, a floating centre console with a 64‑facet crystal drive selector, and door‑mounted control panels that integrate speakers and seat‑adjustment controls round out the cockpit.
The N8 measures 5,150 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,075 mm wheelbase. Unlike the six‑seat Denza N8L, the all‑electric N8 has two rows and five seats. Chinese regulatory filings list a single‑motor rear‑wheel‑drive version and a tri‑motor all‑wheel‑drive version. The flagship AWD model uses BYD’s e3 drive system, combining a front motor with two rear motors for a total output of 890 kW (1,193 HP). Battery options are 105.792 kWh and 130.15 kWh, both using BYD’s second‑generation Blade Battery. Denza claims a maximum range of 1,003 km CLTC (≈ 820 km WLTP, estimated using a 0.82 conversion factor). The company advertises charging from 10 % to 70 % in five minutes and from 10 % to 97 % in nine minutes, with charging time increasing by three minutes at –30 °C. Actual performance depends on charger capability and operating conditions.
Blind reservations open in China on October 26. Denza has scheduled the N8’s official market launch for November, with pricing and delivery details expected then. The N8’s exterior is available in Sunlight Orange, Aurora Green, and Deep Space Blue.
