Porsche Drops the Wagons: 2027 Taycan Loses Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo Variants

Porsche has confirmed the discontinuation of both Taycan wagon variants—the GTS Sport Turismo and the Cross Turismo—for the 2027 model year. The decision arrives alongside a raft of updates for the refreshed Taycan, including Tesla Supercharger access via a native NACS port and a new infotainment system featuring AI voice controls. The move leaves Porsche without a wagon option in the U.S. market, following the 2023 demise of the Panamera Sport Turismo.

Porsche attributes the cut to consistently low sales of the wagon body style. Taycan sales have slumped in recent years: 7,570 units in 2023, 4,747 in 2024, and 4,142 in 2025, with further declines reported in 2026. The remaining sedan variant receives a Performance Battery Plus pack as standard, now rated at 105 kWh.

DC fast charging tops out at 320 kW, and the new NACS port enables direct access to Tesla’s Supercharger network without an adapter, while a CCS adapter is included for compatibility with other public chargers. Porsche also introduces E-Shift, a simulated gear system that mimics manual shifts, engine braking, and a virtual rev limiter, paired with synthetic performance sounds. The 2027 Taycan sedan starts at $111,900 before a $2,350 delivery fee.
