2026 Spanish Grand Prix – Friday

The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is set to face a new challenge at the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. The team is looking to build on their strong performance at the Italian Grand Prix and is well-prepared for the demands of the new circuit. The Madrid street circuit is a 5.416 km long track with 22 corners, featuring a mix of public roads and purpose-built sections. One of the most iconic features of the track is the ‘La Monumental’ corner, a 24% gradient turn inspired by Madrid’s historic bullfighting arenas. The team’s drivers, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, are looking forward to the challenge of racing on a new circuit and are well-prepared after spending time in the simulator. The 2026 Spanish Grand Prix marks the beginning of a 10-year agreement between the F1 and Madrid, securing the event’s place in the calendar until at least 2035.
