BMW Motorrad has officially revealed the GS Trophy Competition Bike, a bespoke off-road machine built for the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2026 in Romania. The competition will take place in late summer 2026, challenging teams to navigate Romania’s rugged terrain, from mountains and forests to rivers and remote villages where time seems to stand still. The GS Trophy Competition Bike is based on the BMW R 12 G/S and is fully equipped for extreme off-road conditions with a comprehensive range of accessories. The Comfort Package includes Hill Start Control, Gear Shift Assist Pro, heated grips, and cruise control. Additional features include Headlight Pro (with adaptive cornering light), Riding Modes Pro, and the Enduro Package Pro, which adds off-road tires, an 18-inch rear wheel, and handlebar risers. Engine protection bars, cylinder head covers, a Rally cockpit fairing, navigation preparation, an Akrapovič silencer, and a 5-litre tank bag (used as a rear bag) round out the build. While the GS Trophy Competition Bike is not available for purchase in its exact form, enthusiasts can recreate it on the base BMW R 12 G/S with only minor differences, such as decals. The bike’s design features Lightwhite uni paint, blue tank tapes, and a red seat, embodying BMW Motorrad Motorsport DNA and signaling its sporting off-road purpose. The GS Trophy, an event held since 2008, tests riders’ skill and precision in some of Europe’s most demanding landscapes.
